Position: LOGISTICS & FREIGHT SPECIALIST

Location: ON-SITE – SAUDI ARABIA (RELOCATION TO SAUDI ARABIA REQUIRED)

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics & Freight Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must CURRENTLY BE BASED IN INDIA and have strong experience in international shipping, freight forwarding and logistics cost optimization.

Job Title: Logistics & Freight Specialist

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing all domestic and international shipping operations, negotiating with freight forwarders, calculating accurate shipping costs and ensuring timely delivery with the most cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with freight forwarders and shipping companies (Air, Sea, Road) to secure the best rates.
• Prepare detailed rate comparison sheets for each shipment.
• Calculate chargeable weight, volumetric weight, and total landed cost before final approval.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Operations to ensure smooth shipment flow.
• Prepare all shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, HS Codes, COO).
• Monitor shipment progress from supplier pickup to final delivery.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and follow up on clearance procedures.
• Handle shipping issues such as delays, holds, or missing documents.
• Manage sensitive or restricted shipments when required.
• Provide weekly reports on shipment status and cost analysis.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with freight companies.
• Improve internal shipping processes and reduce overall logistics costs.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics companies or customs clearance.
• Strong experience in Air Freight and Sea Freight.
• Excellent understanding of international and local shipping rates.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing.
• Ability to calculate volumetric and actual weight accurately.
• Good knowledge of Saudi customs requirements and HS Codes.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Strong skills in Excel and shipment tracking sheets.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up abilities.
• Professional communication and strong relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling industrial shipments or heavy cargo.
• Knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.).
• Previous experience dealing with DHL, Aramex, FedEx, UPS, cargo agents, etc.
