The Logistics Supervisor oversees the daily operations of warehouse logistics, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, transportation coordination, and warehouse team leadership. This role ensures that products are received, stored, and distributed efficiently and accurately while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely receipt and delivery of goods.
- Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage or loss.
- Supervise, train, and lead a team of warehouse staff, forklift drivers, and logistics coordinators.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to streamline supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement warehouse layout improvements for better space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety protocols within the warehouse environment.
- Participate in budgeting for logistics, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or system errors.
- Leverage logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP) to monitor operations and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:- 3–5+ years of logistics or warehouse management experience.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, distribution, and transportation principles.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and logistics software (WMS, transportation portals, logistic quotation websites)
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Forklift certification and/or OSHA compliance training (a plus).
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced warehouse environment; may require extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating material handling equipment. Some roles may involve on-call duties or after-hours logistics coordination.
