Los Angeles Area Childcare Providers Needed - PT/FT - Flexible Schedule

Join Our Back-Up Childcare Team with Sitter Scout!

Sitter Scout is excited to welcome skilled and caring childcare professionals to our Back-Up Care team. As a trusted Bright Horizons agency partner, we provide in-home childcare for families across the Greater Los Angeles area.

Compensation: $21.00–$27.00 per hour, plus opportunities for bonuses.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Availability for at least 3 weekdays (M–F) during typical work hours (7:00am–7:00pm).
  • Flexible and comfortable accepting assignments on short notice.
  • At least 6 months of consistent availability.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on childcare experience, including caring for newborns and infants.
  • Able to provide at least 3 childcare references.
  • Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursement offered for travel beyond 40 miles roundtrip (up to 100 miles max).
  • Willingness to work in homes with pets (exceptions can be discussed if needed).
  • Proactive, dependable, and well-organized personality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
