Job description:
- Conducts risk assessments to identify workplace hazards
- Implements safety programs and ensures compliance with regulations
- Investigates incidents (accidents, near-misses, property damage)
- Trains employees on safety procedures and risk prevention
- Monitors compliance with standards like Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or company policies
- Recommends improvements to reduce operational and financial risks
Skill Set:
- NFPA 472 Hazardous materials for first responders operations
- NFPA Firefighting course or equivalent
- Incident Command qualification
- NEBOSH certification Preferred Qualification/Certification
- A recognized National Higher Diploma or equivalent from a recognized University
- NFPA Fire fighter or similar teaching background or qualification
- Ambulance Emergency Assistant or EMT equivalent
- High angle rescue or equivalent qualification
- Advanced petrochemical firefighting course.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 Years’ operational experience in an emergency service, preferably in petrochemical and/or oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrable applied knowledge and experience in the role of an emergency response leader
- Evidence of Fire Fighting and support capabilities within Oil and Gas Petrochemical Facility
Job Specific Skills:
- Advance Petrochemical and Oil and Gas Firefighting.
- HAZMAT Operational Training.
- Radiation Protection Officer Training
