Machine Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the sewing machine and facility maintenance operations within our denim garments division. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, manage spare parts inventory, and implement preventive maintenance programs while supervising and developing the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect facilities and equipment periodically to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
• Develop and implement preventive & corrective maintenance schedules (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to enhance efficiency and technical skills.
• Oversee sewing machine maintenance section, including machine allocation, spare parts, needles, oils, and inventory control.
• Monitor expenses and effectively control the sewing machine maintenance budget.
• Ensure proper record-keeping of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and breakdown reports.
• Establish and manage maintenance priorities to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Handle procurement processes related to parts, tools, and maintenance supplies (POs, invoices, approvals).
• Enforce health, safety, and compliance standards across maintenance operations.
• Recommend process improvements and contribute to machinery upgrades for operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Education: DAE / B.Tech / BE (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).
• Experience: 7–10 years in garment/sewing machine maintenance, with 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial sewing machines (Juki, Brother, Pegasus, etc.), finishing equipment, and supporting utilities.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on expertise in machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in reporting, budgeting, and ERP-based maintenance management preferred.
