Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up various precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure accurate and efficient production. Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment with precision and safety.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and interpret G-code for complex parts.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for each job.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assemble or modify parts as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of machining processes, measurements, and quality checks using precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with a strong mechanical background.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming for designing and setting up machining operations.
  • Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Valid certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required. Join us in creating high-quality components through innovative machining techniques! Pay: $23.97 - $28.86 per hour
