Seaworks Company is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to manage the workshop operations, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy equipment, machinery, and plant used in construction and marine projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and management skills to ensure that all equipment is operational, safe, and serviced on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee Maintenance Operations: Supervise daily maintenance activities for a fleet of plant, machinery, and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
· Plan and Schedule Repairs: Coordinate scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, and unscheduled repairs to meet project timelines.
· Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.
· Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external service providers and suppliers for spare parts and external repairs.
· Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of technicians, mechanics, and maintenance staff within the workshop.
· Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of parts, tools, and consumables for repairs and replacements.
· Reporting: Generate detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance schedules, downtime, and performance metrics.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
· Budget Control: Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in coordinating maintenance activities, particularly for heavy plant, machinery, and equipment in the construction, marine, or industrial sectors.
· Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and equipment diagnostics.
· Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading a team of maintenance professionals and technicians.
· Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Licenses: Valid driving license in Qatar (preferred).
