Maintenance Electrician

Key Responsibilities/ Fresher and Experienced

1. Perform routine electrical maintenance tasks, including inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical breakdowns, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

3. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including inspecting electrical systems, identifying potential issues, and performing maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.

4. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance tasks, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.

5. Collaborate with production staff to ensure electrical maintenance tasks are completed during scheduled downtime or with minimal disruption to production.

6. Ensure all electrical maintenance tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner, and that all safety protocols are followed.

7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve electrical maintenance processes and reduce equipment downtime.

Skills and Knowledge

Technical Skills

1. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, and electrical safety.

2. Experience with electrical maintenance and repair of food processing equipment.

3. Familiarity with electrical testing and measurement tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).

4. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Safety and Quality Skills

1. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).

2. Experience with quality control processes and procedures.

3. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

2. Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

3. Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.

Education and Certifications

1. Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

2. Certification in electrical maintenance or a related field (e.g., Certified Electrician).

3. Valid electrical license or certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician).

Experience

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair of food processing equipment.

2. Proven track record of success in reducing equipment downtime, improving electrical efficiency, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
