Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer – Pool Division is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of swimming pool, spa, and fountain systems. The role involves ensuring water quality standards, conducting preventive maintenance, managing technical documentation, handling client coordination, and supporting project budgeting and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities :Technical & Engineering Duties:

  • Perform pump selection, head loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing based on project specifications.
  • Design and review equipment room layouts, heating and cooling systems, and wellness area systems.
  • Prepare and verify shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare material submittals, method statements, QA/QC plans, inspection & testing plans (ITP), and O&M manuals.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair pool equipment including:
  • Dosing systems
  • Pumps and motors
  • Filters
  • Electric heaters
  • Heat pumps / heat exchangers
  • Related MEP components

Maintenance & Operations:

  • Ensure supervisors and cleaning teams maintain water quality through proper vacuuming, chemical dosing, and daily water testing.
  • Conduct Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections of critical pool equipment.
  • Attend to corrective maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
  • Maintain daily maintenance logs, PPM checklists, and service reports.
  • Repair pools, spas, and fountains related to both MEP and minor civil works.

Commercial & Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical proposals, tenders, and commercial reports.
  • Provide cost estimates and quotations for repairs, replacements, and new pool projects.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control.
  • Manage contracts and invoicing through ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Generate project and maintenance reports using ERP systems.

Coordination & Client Management:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance and MEP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, water treatment, and pool equipment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
