MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance (PPM), functional testing, and servicing of fire fighting systems, including fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, and extinguishers.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions, identify piping or mechanical issues, and perform corrective repairs or component replacements.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with QCDD requirements, company SOPs, and international standards such as NFPA.
  • Conduct flow tests, pressure tests, pump performance checks, and system readiness evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed maintenance reports, service records, and technical documentation for client submissions and authority inspections.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams for shutdowns, site access, and follow-up corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • QCDD License preferred (Fire Fighting).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in fire fighting system maintenance, ideally within the GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of fire pumps (diesel/electric), control panels, sprinkler networks, and fire suppression components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and fire fighting system layouts.
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes and QCDD standards.
