Job Summary:

The Sr. Service Engineer is responsible for handling service 24/7, maintenance and warranty claims of diesel generators. The role combines technical expertise with warranty administration to ensure that customer complaints are resolved efficiently, and all warranty policies are adhered to. The engineer also acts as a liaison between service team, OEM’s and customers regarding warranty matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Service and Support

• Diagnose and repair diesel generator issues onsite and at service centers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, breakdown service, and load testing.
• Support installation and commissioning with compliance to warranty terms.
• Coordinate with OEM’s for complex technical support or part replacements
• Workshop and asset maintenance management

Warranty Handling:

• Inspect, validate, and process warranty claims according to OEM standards
• Document service history, failure analysis, and root cause reports for warranty jobs.
• Ensure all claims are properly logged, justified, and supported with technical documentation.
• Liaise with manufacturers for claim approvals, parts replacement, and payment follow-up
• Manage all after sales activities to guarantee customer satisfaction

Rental Fleet Operations and Maintenance

• Prepare generators before rental
• Do regular maintenance (Change oil, filters, battery etc.)
• Deployment and Management Generators on site
• Arrange transportation and delivery to the customer’s site
• Handle installation, connection, and start-up of generators
• Provide support for on-site during rental period
• Do routine maintenance as per running hours
• Fix any breakdowns quickly
• After the project, remove the generator, inspect it, and return it to the yard

Technical Expertise:

• Deep understanding of diesel engines, alternators, and control panels.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and generator controllers (e.g., Deep Sea, ComAp).
• Familiarity with OEM warranty processes and documentation.

Team and Documentation:

• Supervise and guide junior service technicians during warranty repairs.
• Maintain accurate job cards, inspection checklists, and warranty claim forms
• Provide feedback to the design/manufacturing teams for recurring issues
• Team management and maintenance planning and scheduling and job assigning to technicians

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in diesel generator service, with 2+ years focused on warranty claims or OEM coordination
• Prior experience in an OEM-authorized service center.
• Knowledge of ERP systems or warranty management software.
• Certification from generator manufacturers (Cummins, Perkins, etc.).
• Must be Arabic speaking and fluent in English Language
