Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure equipment, facilities, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role leads the maintenance team, manages preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and repair activities
• Manage maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
• Ensure optimal uptime and reliability of equipment and facilities
• Troubleshoot major equipment failures and lead root cause analysis
• Control maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor contracts
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and KPIs
• Coordinate with production/operations teams to minimize downtime
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5–10 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or facility systems
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage budgets and analyze maintenance data
• Knowledge of safety standards and best maintenance practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a similar industry (manufacturing, FMCG, facilities, power, etc.)
• Certification in maintenance management, reliability, or safety (e.g., TPM, RCM)
• Experience with automation and modern maintenance technologies
