Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical equipment within the steel factory. The role ensures efficient resource allocation, optimized downtime, and compliance with maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and schedule preventive maintenance (PM) plans for all mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, production supervisors, and storekeepers for job allocation and material availability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Track breakdowns, identify root causes, and recommend improvement actions.
• Maintain CMMS/maintenance records including job cards, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
• Ensure critical spares are identified and stocked to prevent production stoppage.
• Support shutdown planning and execution with detailed task lists and time estimates.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance).
• Ensure maintenance procedures comply with safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance planning experience in steel plants, heavy industry, or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and production equipment.
• Experience using CMMS or ERP maintenance modules (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
