Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a maintenance technician responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on the company's equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, with the aim of ensuring their optimal and continuous operation. They must assist in fault detection, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems, following the instructions and plans defined by the Maintenance Supervisor. Additionally, they must participate in updating maintenance records, ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures, and contribute to keeping the work area organized and clean.

Responsibilities

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE:

• Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to the programs established by the department.
• Perform routine inspections on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems and equipment.
• Detect abnormal conditions and report them promptly to the immediate supervisor.
• Lubricate, adjust, clean, or replace components according to defined standards.
• Keep the record of activities performed up to date in logs or digital systems.
• CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE:
• Assist in the immediate attention to failures reported by the operational areas and report this activity to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Diagnose the root causes of failures in electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic components and report them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Replace damaged or worn parts under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform functional tests after repairs to validate the proper performance of the equipment.

Experience

• From 0 to 2 years of experience in similar positions in industrial maintenance or general plant services.
• Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics
• Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
• Problem-solving and organizational skills
• Welding

Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.00

• Salary would be based on previous experience and qualifications.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
