Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Conduct electrical repairs including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and component replacements with precision and adherence to safety standards
  • Operate welding equipment for fabrication or repair tasks requiring metalwork expertise
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose issues
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
  • Lead or supervise facilities maintenance projects including residential painting or minor renovations when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
  • Assist in supervising junior team members or contractors during maintenance activities when required

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments
  • Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair; familiarity with schematics is essential
  • Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical components
  • Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints accurately
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and stakeholders
  • Leadership or supervising experience is preferred for guiding maintenance teams effectively
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and documentation
  • Basic residential painting skills are a plus for minor facility updates or touch-ups
