Job Summary

The Maintenance & Operations Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Maintenance Technician on the Southwest campus. Encompasses tasks related to routine and general maintenance of all facilities through execution of basic maintenance and repair, which may include light carpentry work, installation of drywall, light masonry, painting, locksmithing, appliance maintenance, light welding, plumbing and/or pest control.

Job Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tool use
• Trades experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Special consideration will be given to individuals who display knowledge and competency in the operation and maintenance of commercial steam plants
Preference will be given to those with previous experience in trades labor and/or licensing and HVAC systems, including BAS systems.

Physical Requirements:
Moderate: Regularly involves lifting, bending, or other physical exertions – often exposed to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
