Location: Atlanta, GA (350 Spelman Ln SW)
Contract Duration: July 6, 2026 – May 24, 2027
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (with some weekends required)
As a Maintenance Technician, you will handle a variety of tasks across multiple trades to ensure the campus remains in peak condition. Your daily duties will include:
- Plumbing & Electrical: Performing minor repairs and replacements of plumbing fixtures, valves, electrical devices, and general appliances as needed.

Carpentry & Facility Upkeep: Handling minor carpentry work to repair windows, doors, hardware, screens, and furniture.

Routine Inspections: Inspecting all buildings on a routine basis to proactively identify, report, and correct facility deficiencies through the work order system.

Event & Logistics Support: Collaborating with administrative staff and event hosts to coordinate special furnishing arrangements, heavy lifting, and setup for scheduled functions.

Team Collaboration: Assisting and cooperating with trade professionals and custodial staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly, while helping coordinate major repairs and painting projects.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, paired with a minimum of 5 years of related maintenance experience.

Licensing: Must possess a current, valid Georgia Driver's License.

Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. You must be able to read and interpret operating/maintenance instructions and interact professionally with a diverse community and the general public.

Technical Aptitude: Beginner-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and regular use of email systems (Outlook or Lotus Notes).

Screening: Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment Basic Criminal Background Screening and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.
This is a highly active role that requires physical stamina. Candidates must be able to:
- Regularly stand, walk, stoop, climb, crawl, reach, and handle maintenance supplies/equipment.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Utilize close vision, distance vision, and depth perception to safely perform repairs.
