Maintenance Technician

Pay: $19.00 – $19.75 per hour

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s property, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained to support guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of general maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls
• Complete work orders efficiently to maintain high guest satisfaction
• Perform general maintenance including:
• Plumbing (toilets, drains, leaks)
• Electrical repairs
• HVAC systems (basic troubleshooting)
• Carpentry, painting, and drywall repair
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of guest rooms and public areas
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities
• Assist in maintaining pool, fitness center, and exterior grounds
• Communicate room status issues (out-of-order, repairs needed) with front desk/housekeeping
• Complete daily maintenance logs and checklists
• Support preventative maintenance programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance or facilities experience required
• Hotel or hospitality experience preferred
• HVAC certification is a plus
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Customer service mindset (guest-focused attitude)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends & holidays)

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors as required
