Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s property, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained to support guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of general maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls
- Complete work orders efficiently to maintain high guest satisfaction
- Perform general maintenance including:
- Plumbing (toilets, drains, leaks)
- Electrical repairs
- HVAC systems (basic troubleshooting)
- Carpentry, painting, and drywall repair
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of guest rooms and public areas
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities
- Assist in maintaining pool, fitness center, and exterior grounds
- Communicate room status issues (out-of-order, repairs needed) with front desk/housekeeping
- Complete daily maintenance logs and checklists
- Support preventative maintenance programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance or facilities experience required
- Hotel or hospitality experience preferred
- HVAC certification is a plus
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Customer service mindset (guest-focused attitude)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends & holidays)
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors as required
