Job Description
Pharmacy System Implementation & Management
- Implement, oversee, and maintain pharmacy information systems across all clinics to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely medication dispensing.
- Train and support pharmacy staff in the effective use of pharmacy systems for prescription processing, reporting, and documentation.
Storage Organisation & Maintenance
- Ensure medications are stored, labelled, and organised in accordance with DRAP regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-controlled storage environment, including temperature and humidity monitoring.
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate inventory records across all clinic locations.
- Apply inventory control measures to optimise stock usage, minimise wastage, and avoid stock shortages.
- Coordinate closely with procurement and purchasing teams for timely replenishment of medicines and supplies.
Expiry Monitoring & Disposal
- Monitor expiry dates routinely and ensure strict implementation of FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) practices.
- Ensure safe segregation, documentation, and disposal of expired, damaged, or recalled medications in compliance with regulations.
Consumption Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare, review, and analyse medication consumption reports for each clinic on a regular basis.
- Identify trends, variations, and opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and medication utilisation.
Demand Forecasting & Submission
- Evaluate clinic-wise medication requirements and prepare accurate demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with clinic managers and procurement teams to ensure continuous availability of essential medications.
Formulary Management
- Review and update formularies periodically in line with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly clinic-wise consumption reports, including Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR), to support rational and cost-effective medication use.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to standardise medication selection and optimise therapeutic outcomes across the network.
Prescription Intervention & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and deliver presentations on prescription interventions aimed at enhancing medication safety, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
- Share best practices, case learnings, and improvement strategies with pharmacy teams to support continuous quality improvement.
Staff Training & Development
- Train, mentor, and supervise pharmacy personnel across the network of 45 clinics.
- Design and deliver training programs on clinical pharmacy practices, medication safety, and pharmacy management systems.
- Assess staff performance and competencies, identifying skill gaps and training opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Collect, analyse, and present pharmacy-related KPIs to the Medical Director and Clinical Services team.
Education & Experience
- Education: Pharm-D
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant pharmacy experience
- Preferred: Candidates with outreach, field, or multi-site experience
