Manager – Pharmacy

About the Role

OMI Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager – Pharmacy to lead and manage hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication management. The role is critical in maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care, regulatory compliance, and inventory control across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Ensure compliance with DRAP regulations, Pakistan Pharmacy Council standards, and hospital policies.
  • Manage procurement, storage, dispensing, and inventory control of medicines and consumables.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
  • Coordinate with medical, nursing, and procurement departments to ensure uninterrupted medicine availability.
  • Monitor medication safety, expiry management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on pharmacy operations, consumption trends, and cost optimization.
  • Implement best practices to enhance patient safety, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pharm-D or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid registration with Pakistan Pharmacy Council.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of hospital pharmacy experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy systems, formulary management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
