Management Trainee Officer – Merchandising (Lahore)

Job Description:

The MTO Merchandiser in a textile factory assists the merchandising team in managing buyer orders, coordinating with production and sourcing departments, and ensuring timely execution of orders in accordance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing garment and textile orders from order confirmation to shipment.
• Coordinate with fabric, production, sampling, dyeing, and finishing departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow up on fabric and trims development, lab dips, strike-offs, and approvals.
• Support costing, consumption calculations, and order feasibility assessments.
• Track production timelines and report delays or issues to senior merchandisers.
• Assist in sample development, submission, and buyer approvals.
• Maintain order sheets, production status reports, and merchandising documentation.
• Ensure buyer specifications, quality standards, and factory procedures are followed.
• Support communication with buyers and internal teams regarding order progress.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience in textile or garment merchandising (internships preferred).
• Basic knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, fabrics, and garment construction.
• Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication.
• Ability to work in a factory environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Salary: PKR 45,000 (monthly)
