The Manager of Accounting sits at the heart of our financial engine, helping power the growth and strength of our commercial trucking insurance business. This team owns financial and statutory reporting and ensures our numbers are accurate, timely, and rock solid under GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP). Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you'll collaborate with teams across actuarial, underwriting, and claims, strengthen systems, and develop a high performing team in a fast moving, regulated industry.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and inspire accounting team members — fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Partner with the leadership team on financial reporting, audits, and special projects.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and monthly close processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within insurance or a related industry.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities — you thrive on developing people and improving processes.
• Strong technical knowledge, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
