Job Purpose

The Manager - Adventure Operations plays a key role across The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations, supporting senior adventure leadership in the safe, efficient, and high quality operation of adventure assets within the portfolio. The role is responsible for supporting the operational rollout of adventure programs, delivering key training initiatives, and contributing to the growth of a diverse inland adventure offering for all guests.

This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across operations, community engagement, and regulatory compliance, while consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with Red Sea Sport & Entertainment standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and growth of distinctive adventure sports destinations across Red Sea Sport & Entertainment projects.
  • Support the training, operations, and delivery of all inland adventure and action sports activities.
  • Ensure full compliance of guides, staff, and activities with venue specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including supporting SOP development and ongoing evaluation.
  • Support and supervise teams of guides, instructors, and junior instructors to deliver high quality guest experiences, embedding a distinctive Red Sea service style.
  • Oversee relevant teams to ensure all inland destinations, venues, and equipment are consistently clean, safe, and properly maintained.
  • Actively promote and advocate for all adventure activities across the wider project, including activities outside direct responsibility (e.g., diving).
  • Participate in regular review sessions with senior adventure leadership, providing operational updates and insights.
  • Understand, apply, and enforce relevant international adventure regulations and standards, liaising with local and international sporting ecosystems and governing bodies as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant functional policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent operations.
  • Support the preparation of accurate and timely MIS reports in line with corporate and functional requirements.
Safety, Quality & Environment
  • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies and controls to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, high quality service delivery, and responsible environmental stewardship.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across systems, processes, and practices, aligned with international best practice, productivity enhancement, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Internal: Operations, Asset Management, Destination Marketing, Delivery Teams

External: Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Sport, Climbing & Hiking Federation

Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience
  • Valid Wilderness First Aid or internationally recognized First Aid certification (including CPR and hyper/hypothermia response), with a minimum validity of six (6) months at the time of employment commencement.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience within the tourism or adventure industry; experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering adventure sports activities within a premium hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multicultural teams in a collaborative setting.
  • Strong risk awareness with the ability to identify operational hazards and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on mentoring, coaching, and team development.
  • Ability to contribute creatively to the evolution of adventure program assets and support leadership in the conceptualization and delivery of new adventure initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and self motivated mindset.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; Arabic or another additional language is a strong advantage.
  • Positive, proactive, and approachable personality with strong customer focus and leadership presence.
