The Manager Design is responsible for leading the overall design function by driving creative strategy, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery, and fostering innovation across design, R&D, and order tracking operations. The role focuses on aligning design initiatives with business objectives, optimizing resources, and maintaining high standards of aesthetics, functionality, and brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership to the Design and R&D divisions, cultivating an environment that values creativity, precision, and innovation.
- Lead, guide, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and researchers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Formulate and implement a forward-looking design strategy aligned with market trends, consumer insights, and brand positioning.
- Direct the end-to-end design process for new product lines and furniture collections, utilizing IMOS software for enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and digital optimization.
- Champion R&D initiatives to explore and integrate advanced materials, technologies, and production methodologies, elevating product performance and sustainability.
- Administer the departmental budget with fiscal prudence, ensuring optimal utilization of financial and human resources.
- Monitor global design innovations and industry developments to maintain a competitive and contemporary product portfolio.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless product conceptualization, development, and market launch.
- Enforce rigorous design standards and compliance protocols, safeguarding consistency with brand identity, corporate guidelines, and regulatory norms.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Materials, or a related discipline) from a HEC recognized institution.
- Experience: 15–18 years of progressive experience in design leadership roles, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or construction industries.
- Proven ability to lead both primary and secondary product design processes from concept to completion.
- Demonstrated experience working with international design and engineering standards.
- Strong understanding of furniture design principles, wood joinery, and related manufacturing processes will be considered as an added advantage.
- Proficient in CAD, CAM, and 3D design software with hands-on experience in design modeling and simulation.
