Position Summary:
The Manager, Enterprise Platforms – HRIS serves as the strategic and operational leader responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Empower’s human resources information systems and related digital platforms. This role ensures HR technology supports the company’s growth, compliance, and employee experience objectives through integration, automation, and analytics. Acting as both a people leader and technology expert, this position leads a high-performing team focused on delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance Empower’s ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent. By leveraging AI and predictive analytics, the Manager transforms HR operations into a strategic enabler of Empower’s mission to expand access to affordable, high-quality care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads the strategy, implementation, and optimization of HR technology systems—including HRIS, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting, and Learning platforms—to ensure scalability, integration, and operational excellence.
  • Serves as a people leader who mentors, empowers, and develops team members, promoting a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Partners with HR, IT, Finance, and Compliance leaders to align HR systems with business objectives, ensuring seamless data flow, compliance, and process efficiency across the employee lifecycle.
  • Leverages AI, automation, and analytics to improve workforce planning, talent forecasting, and engagement insights that drive strategic HR decision-making.
  • Oversees data governance, system security, and configuration management to ensure accuracy, compliance with employment regulations, and protection of sensitive employee information.
  • Continuously evaluates and matures Empower’s HR systems landscape to identify opportunities for process efficiency, digital adoption, and enhanced employee experience.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale HR technology implementations or upgrades, including data integrations and process automation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and analytics, including payroll, benefits, recruiting, and talent management systems.
  • Experience utilizing AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics to optimize workforce planning, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Proven track record of leading and inspiring people through vision, communication, and accountability, fostering engagement and professional growth across cross-functional teams.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing or administering HRIS or HCM platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, and/or related technologies) within a multi-site or regulated environment, including at least 5 years managing a team supporting these systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct people leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or certifications such as SHRM-SCP, PHR, PMP, or Workday Pro Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
