As a Manager of Equipment Engineering, you will lead the activities of advanced cell manufacturing equipment design, layout planning, capacity balancing, FAT, SAT, production ramp-up, continuous optimization and upgrading of existed line, solve on-site process issues and equipment defects, improve yield ratio, prepare related documentation, coach team members.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will have opportunities to access to latest battery cell manufacturing technologies around the world and shape the innovative battery cell solutions for meeting TTI’s power output and energy storage requirements for a variety of products.
Lead team to drive the decisions of equipment design selections to advance high-power cell manufacturing technologies, which enables large-scale production of next-generation, alignment with TTI’s product roadmap.
Work with external vendors and collaborators to develop and qualify the cell equipment design and advanced process technologies.
Develop the technology evaluation plan, identify the required resources, set up timelines, prioritize tasks, troubleshoot problems, and assess technical feasibility and commercial viability.
Effectively communicate the ideas and results both internally and externally.
Monitor projects status, provide updates, deliver reports/presentations regarding the current and future development activities, and make recommendations.
Identify the patentable inventions and generate IPs.
Build, grow, and mentor the whole team to the next level of excellence.
Qualifications
BS or MS degree in science or engineering (Machinery, Automation, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering are preferred).
10+ year experience with equipment/process development, maintenance, production.
Knowledge of emerging cell manufacturing process/equipment technologies is preferred.
Deep-in knowledge of cell equipment design, modification and continuous optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity and attention to details.
