Position Summary

The Manager, FP&A will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, planning and financial analysis for The Children’s Place, with particular focus on Sourcing . This position will efficiently provide sound financial analysis that will affect decision-making as well as present the business with future risks & opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage the financial forecast processes for the Sourcing function (monthly, quarterly, annual), present timely and accurate reporting/analysis and ensure information delivered on time with proper commentary.
• Understand all numbers and results with the ability to explain and interpret information in an organized and confident fashion and be aware of any irregularities or gaps in information that could impede decision-making
• While collaborating with the Sourcing team, implement strategic initiatives and special projects as needed
• Direct the generation of timely, accurate, and meaningful ad hoc reports on various financial results
• Ability to streamline and reengineer existing processes to maximize efficiencies and improve data integrity
• Attend management meetings with opportunities to prepare and contribute financial information

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics
• MBA preferred
• 5+ years experience in financial planning and analysis for a multi-product company
• Strong leadership initiative in a matrix or flat organization
• Strong accounting knowledge base is strongly preferred

Skills and Behaviors

• Must be proficient in Excel with ability to create summary reports that are easy for the organization to digest
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to take vast amounts of data and input into a model that allows for efficient analysis
• Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with management both in the finance and business operations groups
• Ability to perform and manage in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with frequently changing priorities
• Ability to streamline and reengineer existing processes to maximize efficiencies and improve data integrity
• Experience with SAP (Hyperion Essbase)
