Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading the Heavy Maintenance function by developing policies, procedures and tactical objectives to ensure all schedule/unscheduled Maintenance Activities in Heavy Maintenance are accomplished on-time and to GACA and SV regulatory requirements and Quality standards.
Job specific accountabilities:

Manage Heavy Maintenance functions to ensure all schedule/unscheduled Maintenance activities are coordinated and managed with the onsite MRO team and Saudia.

Coordinate Team Leader availability for all check phases to ensure there is no interruption to check progress.

Work with the MRO’s, Planning, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure all Production Control activities are managed effectively.

Monitor Key activities and coordinate schedule changes to ensure correct coverage to minimize check TAT.

Responsible for Outsourced Heavy Maintenance Team training requirements, in order to sustain check management procedures, quality and standards as required by GACA and Saudia.

Communicate with all relevant stakeholders on the progress of each heavy maintenance check and aircraft serviceability, including limitations and delays affecting heavy Maintenance

Ensure tooling, equipment, rotables, spares, consumables and approved facilities are available, serviceable and optimal for the intended maintenance scope and planned work in advance of aircraft arrival.

Ensure that all maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data.

Quarterly/Annual planning of resources, training, leave, budgetary requirements, business unit objectives to ensure Heavy maintenance meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Resolve Heavy maintenance issues relating to administration, staff escalations and deviations.

Providing relevant technical information to respective Heavy Maintenance Technical Representatives and assists them as necessary to execute the required maintenance efficiently and on-time, mitigate all heavy maintenance interruptions to prevent recurrence on later check inputs.

Responsible for recommending enhancement processes and procedures to effectively contribute to improve productivity and aircraft on time deliveries from Heavy Maintenance Function.

Ensure that any corrective action resulting from quality monitoring audits are completed in a timely manner.

Preparing performance reports and dashboards to present/review achievements on targeted Heavy Maintenance business objectives and goals.

Determine and monitor the operating costs for the heavy maintenance functions.
-
In reference to the SV maintenance program, will suggest improvements and enhancements to the maintenance program to improve durability, reduce line maintenance burden, improve corrosion prevention and control through observation, data and feedback from the Heavy Maintenance Team Leaders.

During the weekly AMO meetings monitors the labour loading on the aircraft to support TAT and critical path adherence.
-
Through observation and feedback from the Heavy Maintenance Team Leaders, will make recommendations on material allocations to support TAT and critical path adherence.

Provides oversight across on Additional Work Requests (AWR) review and approval of all associated work orders and invoices, supports the team leaders to challenge overbilling, must provide oversight function on financial approval of invoices against their projects.

Reviews and challenges contractual compliance and drives warranty management.

Support the Heavy Maintenance Team Leaders to Manage and Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company and regulatory procedures, provides the team leaders with the required assistance to facilitate safety investigations and root cause analysis to prevent repeat occurrences in future.

Ensure that the team leaders are monitoring the aircraft 30 days post check for in-service reliability issues caused from the checks.

Ensure the team leaders are performing safety walks at least once per day at the facility whilst work is in progress, ensure they report all findings to SVT quality and the MRO quality leadership as per GMM procedures.

Performs regular meetings with staff in terms of performance review, training (lessons learnt), management and improvement issues.

Provides the appropriate time, training, resources and encouragement to Saudia employees to support their involvement in the on-going development of Saudia’s Safety Management System and Safety Culture.

Reviews and plans training for his/her direct reports, to enhance and upskill the team.

Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonably requested by the AVP Maintenance Operations.
Education and Minimum Qualification:
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical/Instrumentation) or Business related field or a relevant Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance.

Holds a Valid Aircraft Maintenance License from GACA/GCAA/ FAA/ ICAO Type II/EASA License plus applicable Aircraft type authorization.
Experience Requirements:

Minimum of seven years work experience with at least four of which in a relevant function and three years in supervisory roles.
