Manager, Human Resource Information System, Office of Human Resources

Cairo, Egypt

Role Purpose: The Manager, HRIS is responsible for the management and optimization of the university’s Human Resource Information Systems. Acting as a bridge between HR and IT, the role ensures system efficiency, data integrity, and user satisfaction through process automation, reporting, stakeholder support, and vendor coordination. This position plays a key role in aligning HR technology with institutional goals and enhancing operational effectiveness across departments.


Core Responsibilities:

 Systems Optimization and Reporting: Automates and streamlines processes to minimize manual work, while overseeing the generation of accurate, real-time, and periodic HR reports. Ensures full system optimization and drives service improvements to enhance efficiency and meet the needs of stakeholders across departments.

 System Performance Enhancement: Monitor and improve HRIS functionality through testing, upgrades, and issue resolution with stakeholders and vendors.

 Process Management: Develop, communicate, and enforce HRIS workflows; maintain system stability and address user concerns.

 Stakeholder Training and Support: Conduct awareness sessions to enable HR teams to use HRIS tools effectively for reporting and data analysis.

 Vendor and Budget Coordination: Collaborate on vendor contracts, budget planning, and service evaluations to optimize cost and user satisfaction.

 General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned to support HRIS and HR function.



Education and Experience:

 University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.

 Professional qualification in Human Resources is an asset.

 Minimum of 10 years of experience in a multi-cultural environment with particular emphasis in HRIS discipline.


Technical Skills:

 Technical Proficiency: Proficient in HRIS platforms including SAP and SuccessFactors; capability of managing system upgrades,

testing, and troubleshooting.

 Analytical and Organizational: Skilled in analyzing business needs, organizing complex data, and designing structured plans to support operational goals.

 Management and Collaboration: Demonstrates the ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across

departments and with external partners.

 Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build strong relationships and

influence stakeholders effectively.

 Proactiveness and Adaptability: Takes initiative in identifying and solving problems; adapts quickly to changing priorities and tight

deadlines.
