Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering expert communication services to customers of the Shared Services & Solutions (SS&S). This role involves managing organization-wide communications for SOPC, ensuring that all internal messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s goals and values.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Content Creation and Management

  • Manage the creation, editing, and distribution of internal communications, including newsletters, emails, intranet content, and other communication materials.
  • Ensure all content is clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s messaging and branding guidelines.

Employee Engagement

  • Design and implement communication initiatives that foster a positive organizational culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to assess the effectiveness of internal communications and identify areas for improvement.

Leadership Communication Support

  • Provide communication support to senior leadership, including drafting speeches, presentations, and messages.
  • Ensure leadership communications are aligned with organizational goals and resonate with employees.

Crisis Communication

  • Develop and manage internal communication plans for crisis situations, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to manage communication during emergencies and significant organizational changes.

Internal Communication Channels

  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels, including the intranet, email, and other digital platforms.
  • Ensure communication channels are effective and accessible to all employees.

Measurement and Reporting

  • Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports on communication activities, outcomes, and employee feedback to senior management.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Collaborate with HR, marketing, and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated communication efforts.
  • Coordinate with external communication teams to align internal and external messaging.
