What You'll Do:
- Develops internal pipelines and pathways of learning and support to grow talent from district stakeholder groups, including students, paraprofessionals, pre and early service teachers, central and operational administration staff.
- Connects career development strategy with the business and HR strategy, ensuring alignment of learning and development initiatives with larger organizational goals.
- Directs a team who oversees and facilitates a system of learning that ensures employees are prepared to take successive steps during their district career.
- Works across the department to fulfill four critical priorities around preservice and early-career teachers: diversifying teacher workforce; building partnerships and strategies to strengthen hiring practices, especially in highest-priority schools; supporting schools in developing early career teachers; and deepening collaboration with teacher preparation programs to ensure alignment with District academic and equity priorities.
- Develops and manages relationships with key community partners and establishes ongoing support mechanisms; identifies appropriate internal and external partnerships, tools and resources to prepare and grow top talent in the District.
- Collaborates closely across divisions and teams to ensure that resources to support professional learning are integrated into other structures and systems; identifies needs and opportunities to support strategic development.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- Master's Degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related professional experience, including leadership experience within an educational setting, including but not limited to service on a school leadership team, leading professional development, adult facilitation and coaching
- Preferred experience in designing, planning and implementing short and long-range programs, establishing priorities, and organizing resources on large, complex, multi-year initiatives.
- Experience managing others and ability to effectively lead a team towards shared objectives.
- Two (2) or more years of management responsibilities.
- Teacher licensure and teaching experience within the District preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.
- Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.
- Ability to motivate and influence others.
- Ability to effectively lead a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.
- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
