Job Overview

At Capio Partners, we are looking for a dedicated Learning and Development Manager to join our team. This role assesses employee competencies, designing and implementing programs to enhance skills, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

The L&D Manager will collaborate with various departments to identify skills gaps, develop learning materials, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. As a key player in our Human Resources team, you will drive initiatives that support employee performance, career path development, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

The core duties of a Learning and Development Manager include overseeing and managing training programs to support employee growth. This role ensures that learning experiences are effective and aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Training needs assessment. Conduct assessments to identify competencies and training needs across departments, using data to prioritize learning initiatives.
  • Program design and implementation. Develop and implement training programs, including adult learning and e-learning methodologies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders. Work closely with Human Resources, department heads, and Executive leadership to create tailored learning solutions.
  • Content creation. Design instructional materials and modules based on learning principles and learning strategies, authoring content for online courses, learning materials, and training sessions.
  • Learning management systems (LMS). Oversee the administration of LMS, ensuring that training courses and modules are accessible and up to date.
  • Evaluation and reporting. Measure the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback, adjusting to improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have a blend of educational qualifications, work experience, and technical and interpersonal skills to excel in the role of a Learning and Development Manager.

  • Education. A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as instructional design; a master’s degree is preferred. Prior experience administering or supporting Absorb LMS; strongly preferred.
  • Work experience. At least 2 years of experience in day-to-day training and development or a related field.
  • Technical skills. Proficiency in LMS, project management tools, and authoring software for training content is essential.
  • Soft skills. Strong presentation skills, interpersonal abilities, and leadership skills to effectively guide learners through various learning experiences.
