Job Purpose

As Manager, Pricing and Growth, Ocean Freight for DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), this role is essential in ensuring the design and implementation of the OFR pricing & RFQ/tender management strategy and trade and route development management strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Design and execute OFR pricing activities and ensure timely, efficient and globally competitive RFQ responses and OFR trade and route development management activities as well
• Ensure the development and implementation of prices for various air freight customers and products including perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.
• Lead the development of ocean freight carrier management and trade and route development management plans and budgets, and the achievement of productivity targets
• Oversee RFQ development and clearly communicate guidelines for development of RFQs, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls
• Coordinate/liaise/work with Carrier contact on pricing and operational activities, issue resolution, process execution and performance improvements according to corporate policy.

• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive products to meet the customer requirements
• Developments of new product and solutions, services, lane, traffic and execute market development
• Focus on developing new trade lanes and grow the volume of existing trade lane
• Identify and resolve recurring issues and suggest modifications to OFR trade and route development management methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum bachelor's degree from a reputable university is required
• More than 6-8 years of experience preferably in Freight Forwarding
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Ocean freight processes and industry best practices
• Strong negotiation skill, interpersonal skill and problem-solving attitude
• Functional and analytical experience in Operations, Freight Management, Stakeholder Management
• High integrity with good work ethic.
