Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Ocean Freight – Business Development & Operations Executive to join our Sales & Operations team. This role combines business development, client relationship management, and operational coordination within the ocean freight division.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities in the ocean freight sector

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, and partners

Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and market research

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth shipment execution

Oversee container handling (loading, unloading, movement, and tracking)

Ensure accurate documentation, booking, and end-to-end shipment tracking

Monitor shipments for timely delivery and customer satisfaction

Handle customer inquiries regarding shipment status, pricing, and documentation

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or logistics (B2B preferred)

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Good understanding of international shipping terms and documentation

Ability to work under pressure and meet targets

Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
