Manager OSP Planning

Job Overview

Manager OSP Planning is responsible to review and finalize the design prepared by contractors against large FTTH requirement as well as small pockets designs to meet urgent commercial requirement. Develop Long Term & Short Term FTTH network plans for green and brown field areas. Single point of contact for regions against all requirements related to FTTH projects. Ensure network is planned by using best available products and practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Review and finalize ODN design prepared by design contractors.

2. Guide regional technical teams to prepare HLD and LLD for small pockets demand.

3. BoQ verifications and Budget loading recommendation in the light of finalized design

4. Technical knowledge of GPON and industry standards for OSP implementation.

5. Prepare project tracker and keep records of all projects

6. Store items forecasting and consumption plan related to FTTH network deployment.

7. Co-ordination with the survey and design team for the selection of right kind of ODN components.

8. Verification of BoMs in the light of locked ODN design

9. Detail knowledge and hands on experience of design software including ArcGIS, Autocad, google earth

10. Develop Long Term & Short Term FTTH network plans for green and brown field areas.

11. Technical evaluation of different projects related to FTTH and FTTC domains

12. Prepare BoQ & SoW for the projects related to FTTH domain

13. Coordinate & extend technical support to network deployment teams, regional planning, and operational units to acquire necessary interfaces in timely manner.

Competencies

1. Detail knowledge and hands on experience of FTTH network design and deployment

2. Understanding challenges to the telecom industry, specific to FTTH domain

3. Knowledge of the new advancements and technological changes in the telecom sector

4. Detail knowledge of different FTTH deployment models to meet green field and brownfield requirements.

5. Hands on experience of ODN components installation

6. Vendor/contractor management

7. Team player

8. Ability to propose solution meeting customer requirement.

9. Selection of best products and customization if required.

Operating Network

External Network: Vendors, Suppliers, Contractors

Internal Network: NOD teams, Procurement, PMO, Commercial planning, M&L

Communication Responsibilities

External Communication: SoW and BoM, ODN Components Specs and Design

Internal Communication: Store item tracker, Project templates, Capex reports, SAP PRs

Experience and Qualifications

1. 3-5 years of experience in relevant field

2. Masters/bachelor’s degree in telecom/CS/Engineering

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs110,000.00 per month
