Your Impact
As our Manager, Payroll & HRIS, you’ll be the strategic steward of employee compensation and system / data integrity at Ashley — ensuring that every dollar supports our mission of recovery, renewal, and hope. You’ll:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage payroll operations: Oversee all payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes for accuracy and timeliness.

Ensure compliance: Stay up to date with and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and taxes.

Lead and supervise staff: Hire, train, and manage the payroll team, assigning tasks and mentoring payroll specialists as needed.

Manage systems and records: Maintain employee records, manage payroll software, and ensure the accuracy of timekeeping systems.

Handle inquiries and issues: Address and resolve employee questions and payroll discrepancies.

Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure consistency and accuracy in compensation, benefits, and financial reporting.

Report: Prepare and analyze payroll and tax reports.

Audits: Prepare and audit documentation for benefit audits i.e. 401k, Workers Compensation, PCORI

System Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upgrades of the HRIS, collaborating with the IT, Finance, and HR departments to ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data by conducting regular audits, processing information, and maintaining internal database files and tables.

Reporting and Analysis: Generate custom reports and analyze HR metrics (such as turnover, hiring costs, and benefits) to support strategic decision-making.

Implementation and Training: Lead the implementation of new HRIS software and features. Train employees on how to use the system and provide technical support.

Compliance: Ensure the HRIS and all related processes comply with relevant data privacy and labor laws.

Vendor Management: Research and implement new integrations and manage relationships with HRIS software vendors.
What You Bring

Associate’s degree in finance / accounting and/or equivalent education and experience
-
10 years’ payroll experience
-
5 years’ management experience
-
Strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance.

Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP) and accounting principles.

Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
