Job Title: Manager - Port Commercial Operations

Job Description:
The Port Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of port activities to ensure efficient cargo handling, stakeholder alignment, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Coordination:

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with port authorities, terminal operators, importers, exporters, vessel owners, and charterers to facilitate smooth operations at KPT & PQA .

Communication Management:

Lead negotiations and ensure clear, professional communication across all channels i.e. emails, WhatsApp, Teams etc. Resolve conflicts and maintain transparency with all stakeholders.

Email Correspondence:

Supervise and ensure the preparation of coherent, professional, and effective email communications related to port operations.

Safety and Compliance Oversight:

Monitor operational activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements, safeguarding personnel and cargo.

Documentation Accuracy:

Oversee the management and verification of cargo-related documentation to prevent discrepancies and delays.

• Round-the-clock availability to manage any unprecedented port/ vessel issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain & Logistics, or sailing experience as a Chief Officer or Captain of a tanker /gas / bulk carrier.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating port operations or similar logistics functions
• Familiarity with maritime stakeholder dynamics and operational protocols

Experience:

• Open to candidates with up to 3 years of port operations experience
• Exceptional fresh graduates with demonstrated leadership and communication skills will be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
