Manager Procurement

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist, SM/ Director Procurement in Development and implement strategies for procurement, distribution and maintaining stock levels.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Finalize purchase orders and get approval of SM/ Director procurement before forwading to venders
  • Maintain records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluate vendor performance i-e, quality medicines and as per approved margins / discounts
  • Foresee market trends and shortages and suggest alternative sources and products
  • Evaluate bids and make recommendations based on commercial and technical aspects
  • Identify items with less margins and report to SM & Dir. Procurement for further necessary action and aid in sourcing process.
  • Identification of Companies/vendors to be called for negotiation list based on their demand & consumption & put up to SM/ Director Procurement
  • Documentation/Record keeping of necessary data
  • NA & short supply items data and liaisoning with vendors for emergency medicines.
  • Follow up of companies for quotations, margin & distribution etc.
  • Supervision of tasks being performed by procurement DEOs
  • Analysis of finalized POs received from Ops branch and do correction at procurement level when required ( rates, margins, bonuses)
  • Collection of daily POs status of previous day and weekly status of POs for whole weeks and timely intimate the issues with supplies to SM/Dir. Procurement on daily basis
  • Review the report of undelivered items and report non-delivery to SM/ Director Procurement
  • Report the list of Outlets not sending daily undelivered items report
  • Any other task given by the SM or Director like working on slow and dead of outlets, reports writing and mails writing etc.
  • Confidentiality of data is also very important.
  • Non-disclosure certificate at the time of hiring.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Masters in supply chain management, logistics or business administration

· 6-8 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing

· 3 years of proven working experience as a procurement a manager or head of procurement

· Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software (Database management, Inventory management, Financial analysis, point of sale, Procurement, Project management and Enterprise resource planning and General office programs)

· Talent in negotiations and networking

· The ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships

· The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Strong analytical skills

· Good at networking

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs170,000.00 per month
