Manager Production (Switchgear LV & MV Panel)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to lead the manufacturing of LV & MV switchgear panels. The role involves overseeing end-to-end production operations, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing resources for efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution:

• Plan, organize, and manage production activities for LV & MV switchgear panels (PCC, MCC, VFD, APFC, RMU, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to production schedules aligned with project timelines.
• Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Coordinate with planning and project teams for order prioritization.

Shop Floor Management:

• Supervise fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing activities.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Implement best practices for productivity improvement and waste reduction.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all products meet technical specifications and quality standards (IEC/IEEE/IS).
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing (FAT).
• Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource & Inventory Management:

• Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and reduce material wastage.
• Optimize resource allocation for cost-effective production.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and mentor production teams, supervisors, and technicians.
• Conduct training programs to enhance team skills and productivity.
• Drive performance management and team motivation.

Process Improvement:

• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements (Lean, Kaizen).
• Introduce automation and standardization where applicable.
• Continuously improve production efficiency and reduce lead times.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Collaborate with design, planning, quality, and project teams.
• Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of LV & MV switchgear panel manufacturing processes.
• Experience in fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing of panels.
• Familiarity with electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, IS).
• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in handling medium to large-scale switchgear production units.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and tight delivery schedules.

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Production department in Switchgear LV & MV Panel : 10 years (Preferred)
