Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager of Respiratory Therapy will be responsible for day to day management of Respiratory Therapists/Technicians, perform all duties relating to the field of Respiratory Care by physician order, and demonstrate the ability to adopt a leadership role as well as performing in the clinical setting. The Manager will also possess advanced knowledge of all aspects of Respiratory Care in accordance with the guidelines established by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC). The Manager will assist the Director with staffing and employee performance evaluation while also being involved with departmental quality improvement and staff education.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited 2 year respiratory therapy program required; Bachelor's preferred
• A current BLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross)are required
• Successful completion of National Board for Respiratory Care Registry exam on hire
• NRP within 1 year of hire or transfer
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer date
• 5+ years of experience in respiratory therapy; 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
