The Supplier Requirements & Services team is seeking an experienced Supplier Assurance Engineer to join the Designated Quality Representative (DQR) team. This team is responsible for engaging with cross functional teams to onboard, support, and monitor suppliers eligible/approved for DQR. DQR is one of Raytheon’s data driven inspection strategies and you will be a key player that contributes to the success of Raytheon’s DQR initiative. This role is a remote position with regular travel to US suppliers.


What You Will Do

  • Analyze quality history data to determine supplier and part number DQR eligibility.
  • Onboard and train suppliers to the Raytheon DQR process.
  • Interpret quality requirements to support DQR inquiries.
  • Conduct surveillance and monitoring of approved DQR suppliers on a regular cadence and communicate quality results as applicable (both remotely and through onsite engagements).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DQR execution issues at the supplier and within the Raytheon process.
  • Interact daily with other cross functional teams in Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, supply chain, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.
  • Contribute to the development of DQR initiative goals.
  • Travel up to 25%.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with the identification and management of performance metrics to drive informed business decisions.
  • Experience with inspection processes/methods.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance after the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/ or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Experience inspecting hardware and/or familiarity with AS13001.
  • GD&T knowledge/understanding.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Experience in working with computer-based records systems and tools including SAP PRISM, Alteryx, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Remote

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
