Manager – Technical Sales (Lighting)
Department: Sales – Lighting
Location: Islamabad / Lahore / Karachi
Reports to: Head of Sales / CEO
Role Overview
The Manager – Technical Sales (Lighting) will be responsible for driving sales of professional and architectural lighting solutions, including Signify (Philips) and partner brands, across assigned territories.The role focuses on revenue growth, project and channel sales expansion, and strengthening relationships across retail, distribution, projects, OEMs, and government/military sectors, in alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell a comprehensive professional lighting portfolio, including:
- Commercial Lighting
- Retail & Hospitality Lighting
- Industrial Lighting
- Sports Lighting
- Outdoor & Architectural Lighting
- Identify, develop, and close opportunities across:
- Retail and distributor-led sales
- Project-based business (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, architectural)
- Government and military (MIL/Govt) projects
- OEMs and system integrators
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Channel & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and manage business across multiple sales channels, including:
- Retail partners and showrooms
- Distributors and dealers
- Project consultants and contractors
- Government and military stakeholders
- OEMs and technology partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Lighting consultants, architects, and MEP consultants
- Contractors, distributors, OEMs, and key end-users
- Drive channel expansion, partner engagement, project registrations, and market penetration within assigned territories.
- Coordinate pricing, approvals, and order execution in collaboration with internal teams and channel partners.
Technical Support & Project Execution
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, lighting mock-ups, and site visits.
- Support customers with:
- Lighting design intent and application guidance
- Product selection and value engineering
- BOQs, technical submittals, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, smooth project execution, and high customer satisfaction.
- Promote energy-efficient and compliant lighting solutions aligned with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, market trends, and emerging lighting technologies.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, project pipelines, and performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7–8 years of experience in technical sales within professional lighting or electrical solutions.
- Strong technical understanding of lighting products, applications, and project-based sales.
- Proven experience handling retail, distribution, projects, OEMs, and MIL/Govt accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Valid driving license preferred.
