Manlift Operator (Spider Manlift)

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Manlift operator to safely operate Aerial Work Platforms (namely JLG, TEUPEN, and Genie Manlifts) ranging from 10 metres to 50 metres. These can be articulated or telescopic manlifts. You will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and ensuring safety during all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manlifts using proper controls and ensuring safety of working at height at all times including adherence to PPE/site work clothing requirements.
• Perform daily inspections of manlifts and report malfunctions for timely repairs.
• Follow safety procedures during loading, unloading, and lifting operations.
• Complete tasks within time and safety targets.
• Ensure the manlift is stable and positioned safely on different grounds.
• Report any damage or unsafe conditions to site supervisor.
• Monitor wind speed and inform the supervisor when required.

Requirements:

• IPAF license/card with categories such as 1B, 3A, 3B. Previous certificates of manlift examinations and training will be advantageous.
• Previous experience of operating manlifts.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work as part of a team on site.
• Excellent ability of maintaining manlifts and understanding the functions and limits of the machine.
• Must be willing to undertake a technical exam related to manlift operation, conducted by the relevant body, to ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
