Manual Turner/Vertical Borer

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a full time (38 hours per week) CNC Machinist – Manual Turner/Vertical Borer to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and a can do attitude. Some of the main tasks will include:

• Set, load & operate x3 manual vertical Webster Bennett Borers (36”, 36” & 72”)
• Set, Load & operate manual lathe (Elliot)
• Be proactive to maximize efficiency while maintaining 100% quality through independent & validation checks.
• Work closely with the manufacturing engineers to improve quality and cycle time.

Essential and Desirable Skills:

• Experience working in a similar role, in a manufacturing or engineering environment (Essential)
• Ability to follow plans with minimum supervision (Essential)
• Must be efficient and have excellent attention to detail (Essential)
• Previous experience working with raw castings (Desirable)

Alternating shifts-

Monday to Thursday 6.00am- 2.00pm/Friday 6.00am- 12noon

Monday to Thursday 2.00pm-10.00pm / Friday 12noon- 6.00pm
