Job Description
Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring the optimization of production processes, efficient use of resources and knowledge of how to apply automation strategically. The incumbent is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.

Coordinate and assign tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.

Generates and drives actions from Value Stream Maps to reduce cycle time, waste, variation, and low production yields
-
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain and adapt floor plans for current and future state growth plans

Develop plans for current and future company growth plans

Performs Design for Manufacturing, cost, and reliability analysis on new products with the design engineering team

Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement (DMAIC)

Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development for team members.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate the activities of other personnel

Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations, company policies as well as contractual requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar field is required, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

3+ years of experience in a management role, proven experience in a supervisory or a lead type role.

Experience in manufacturing facilities within the aerospace industry.

Experienced with electro-mechanical manufacturing, drawings, procedures and Bill of Materials is required

Strong work ethic, excellent use of discretion and judgment
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
-
Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties

Experienced using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, Project), MiniTab, Oracle, Agile, and CAD programs (SolidWorks is preferred)

Specific knowledge with aerospace sheet metal fabrication, plastics, composite layups, printed circuit board assembly, mechanical assembly, calibration and testing processes is desired

Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
-
Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
-
Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company

Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests
Physical Demands:

Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)

Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is:
$102,708 - $145,530
