The Manufacturing Manager oversees all aspects of the production process for office furniture manufacturing, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role involves managing production schedules, leading a team and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Maintain quality level to customer's expectation.
- Participate as a member of the staff setting direction and focus for the manufacturing operation.
- Set direction for continuous improvement of employee (member) morale.
- Coordinate with Master Schedulers and execute the production plan.
- Reduce complexity in the manufacturing process.
- Communicate and coordinate with all departments.
- Plan for capacity, resources and equipment needs.
- Utilize personal continuous improvement to develop leadership skills on the shop floor.
- Provide performance feedback for developmental planning concerning all direct reports.
- Follow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow and support the Quality system.
- Performs job rotation as directed.
- Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 5 years or more proven experience in manufacturing management, ideally in furniture production or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze production data and implement improvements
- Hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
