Job Description

Royal Ocean Company Looking For Marine Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects related to marine operations, vessels, offshore structures, or port facilities. The role involves ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable engineering standards, environmental regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Plan, organize, and manage marine engineering projects from concept to completion, including design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Engineering Design & Analysis: Prepare or review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for marine systems, structures, or vessels.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients throughout all project stages.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Conduct risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and ensure compliance with marine safety and environmental standards (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle, including inspection of materials and workmanship.
  • Budget & Scheduling: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans; track progress and report on project performance.
  • Liaison & Coordination: Coordinate with naval architects, classification societies, port authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and final project documentation for internal and client review.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues and engineering challenges encountered during project execution.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: +12 years of experience in marine, offshore, or port engineering projects (depending on seniority).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of ship systems, hull design, offshore platforms, or subsea structures.
  • Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar).
  • Familiarity with marine codes and standards (ABS, DNV, ISO, IMO, SOLAS).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
