Assistant Interior Design Manager

Job Description: We are looking for assistant Interior Design manager to join our growing team. He or She should be a responsible creative professional who transforms indoor spaces into safe, functional, and visually appealing areas. They strategically plan space utilization and actively select color palettes and lighting fixtures to cultivate an inviting ambiance in diverse settings.

The Assistant Interior Design Manager supports the Senior Design Manager in leading the design team and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design outputs. This role bridges the gap between conceptual design and execution, focusing on technical accuracy, project coordination, and client satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Assist in managing interior design projects from concept through design development to completion.

•Support in reviewing design deliverables, drawings, and BIM models for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

•Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and BIM teams to ensure design integration.

•Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops, documenting feedback and ensuring follow-up actions.

•Assist in preparing and reviewing material specifications, BOQs, finish schedules and create PRs for selected materials.

  • Monitor design timelines, submissions, and approvals to ensure projects stay on track.

•Support quality control by reviewing shop drawings, samples, and mock-ups.

•Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to design intent during execution.

•Assist in mentoring junior designers and modelers, guiding them in technical accuracy and design detailing.

•Contribute to the development of design guidelines, templates, and standards for the department.

•Should have fit out execution experience to supervise ID finishes and quality are as per high end standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in interior design / diploma in interior architecture

  • 5–8 years of experience in interior design, including at least 2–3 years onsite role or coordination for high end luxury residential projects & high rise projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and presentation tools (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out detailing, joinery works, finishes, and material applications.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and design coordination processes.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
