Position Purpose

The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing & PR team in day-to-day tasks, including social media coordination, administrative duties, and assisting with internal and external communications. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with exposure to brand marketing, digital platforms, and guest engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the hotel’s social media strategy by helping schedule posts, monitor engagement, and gather content.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks such as organizing files, updating databases, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
  • Help maintain marketing materials inventory and assist in ordering branded collateral.
  • Coordinate with various departments to collect content for marketing campaigns and guest communications.
  • Assist in monitoring online reviews (TripAdvisor, Google, Booking.com, etc.) and compiling feedback reports.
  • Support the management of The Grand Community membership program, including communication of offers and tracking engagement.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and promotions.
  • Help ensure brand consistency across all digital and print materials.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interest in marketing, communications, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Creativity and willingness to take initiative.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.

Working Conditions

  • May require working on weekends or holidays depending on business needs.
  • May involve extended periods of computer use or standing.
  • Must adhere to the hotel’s grooming and dress code standards.
