Marketing Assistant

Position Overview:

This position supports the Marketing team through hands-on creative production and execution. The Marketing Assistant works under the direction of the Marketing Manager and Marketing Senior to prepare materials, maintain brand consistency, and assist with day-to-day creative needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • Experience using Canva for basic design and layout support
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand standards
  • Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Organized and dependable with good time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a structured, in-office environment
  • Willingness to learn firm-specific processes, tools, and templates
  • Basic understanding of print and digital design formats
  • Exposure to Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience preparing files for print or digital distribution
  • Coursework, certification, or portfolio demonstrating creative ability

Language Skills

  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in English.
  • Proficiency in visual communication is essential for this position. This includes the ability to convey ideas, concepts, and messages effectively through visual elements.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience, coursework, certification or a portfolio demonstrating creative ability is acceptable in place of formal education.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • No licenses or registrations required
  • Relevant certifications or training in Adobe Creative Suite, Graphic Design, Web Content Management or Digital Marketing are a plus but not required
  • Candidates with practical experience, coursework or a portfolio demonstrating creative skills are encouraged to apply

Physical Demands

  • Extended computer use: Spending prolonged periods working at a computer, requiring sustained focus.
  • Fine motor skills: Precise movements and coordination for manipulating design elements.
  • Collaboration and presentations: Engaging in meetings, presentations and collaboration sessions.
  • Project management: Handling physical tasks such as sorting materials and setting up displays.

Work Hours and Duration

  • Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
  • Extended hours are required at various times throughout the year depending upon workload and deadlines.

Travel Requirements

  • Out-of-town travel is not normally required for this position.
  • All efforts will be made to give as much advance notice as possible for required travel.
  • Employee must have reliable transportation, an active driver’s license and valid automobile insurance.
